Competition Overview

The Core Talent Development Division of the Cheju Halla University RISE Project (Director Prof. Young Joon Lee) held the '2025 Capstone Design Competition' at Amber Pure Hill Hotel on December 17. Organised as part of the Regional Innovation System & Education (RISE) project, it shared outstanding student results from Capstone Design courses and assessed their potential for industry application.

Award Winners

  • Grand Prize (1 team)Broadcasting & Video, 'Hamstar' — a documentary on underwater pollution revealed in the daily lives of Jeju Haenyeo, filmed over a year. Praised for its on-the-ground perspective and finished production quality.
  • First Prize (2 teams)AI Department 'The Simpsons'; Broadcasting & Video 'Never Give Up'
  • Excellence Prize (2 teams)Physical Therapy 'Power Rangers'; Early Childhood Education 'Super Words!io'
  • Participation Prize (8 teams)Eight teams including Nursing 'Don't Forget Me' and Early Childhood Education 'Safety Partner'

This competition matters because students combined their subject knowledge with practical skill to produce work that industry can actually use. We will keep expanding the employment, startup, and industry-academia links built on Capstone Design results.
